Maypole Mayhem…and Mastery!

Since we returned to school after the Easter break we have been working hard to learn and perfect the art of maypole dancing. Most of us have taken part in the Infant department country dancing on May bank holiday Monday in Reception and Year One but the hallowed maypole ribbons are only twirled by Year Two and we are very excited!

The first couple of sessions were really hard work and Mrs W warned us that it would seem impossible at first – mayhem was definitely the correct adjective! After a few false starts, wrong moves and the odd knot here and there, we are pleased to report that it’s looking good and we hope to see as many of you there as possible on Monday 5th May at 2pm to watch us dance our magic.
